I recently stayed at Hermitage Resort and wanted to share my experience in a review. Upon arrival, I was impressed with the cleanliness, decoration, and overall appearance of the common areas. My room exceeded my expectations in terms of size, cleanliness, and comfort. It was well-equipped with necessary amenities like towels, toiletries, and a coffee maker. Speaking of the staff, they were warm, and welcoming, and provided helpful information about the area. They were attentive to my needs throughout my stay, and any issues I encountered were resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner. The hotel was conveniently located near Mall, and we got a clear view of Kanchanjangha from my room. The food quality is quite good. In a nutshell, this resort is excellent with respect to each aspect.

Stayed for three nights with families 👪 in the month of October 2023. I would like to share my experience regarding stay at Hermitage Resort. Breakfast with limited menu. Ordered food in the night for dinner were not eatable. Complained to reception about quality of food but they remain non responsive. There were nothing like resort other than view of kanchanjanga. Limited space and no greenery within the premises. Attached washroom was also normal. Normal housekeeping. Only Location was good. I could not understand the reason of high price per night. It could be better if they rename it as Hermitage Residence instead of Hermitage Resort.

Good hotel with nice view of Kanchenjunga. Price is a bit high though. Room amenities and services are good. We had antique furniture in room. Restaurant is moderate. We were lucky to have Mr. Neel Dutt(son of Mr. Anjan Dutta) as our co boarder on the second day of our stay, because they included more breakfast items on that day 🙃 Rooftop space is great to sit, drink & eat while enjoying view of Kanchenjunga. The security person(Bahadur) is nice & very cordial. Overall a good experience. Much better than adjacent Retreat hotel which is worst in Darjeeling when it comes to value for money.

The USP of the hotel is the breathtaking view of Kanchanjunga mountain range from every room. Location is great near to mall. Cleanliness is good. Food quality and taste was really amazing. Staff behavior was very polite. They were attentive to all our requests. Rooms are spacious and equipped with all the necessary amenities such as tv, coffee maker, dressing table, toiletries etc. Even they have kept Thermosteel bottle for drinking hot water. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a family stay.

Nice view of the Mount Everest valley with the decent room. Services are quick and satisfactory. Not more options for veg in restaurant's menu.

Recently visited here. Resort is perfect for spending a leisure holiday at Darjeeling. Location is excellent. Staffs behaviour is good. Complimentary breakfast is also worthy. View of hills and clouds are excellent from a large window pane. Worth to stay here.

Recently I visited Hermitage Resort with my family and my wife's leg ancle portion was fracture so with plaster leg my wife came here for Puja vacation but very bad experience I would like to share that when ever I asked for vehicle, from their side negative reply. Receptionist local man and Front Office Manager Bengali man never come forward to help us last of all I had to go nearby Raj Bhaban for getting vehicle regarding my wife leg problem. Any way with crutch stick my wife and we visited Darjeeling and Gangtok no problem everyone compromise with us and come forward to help us except Hermitage Resort and their Front Office Manager never come forward to help us.I think he doesn't know about his duty. Any way we have payed Rs. 8000/- per day / per room Where as they have no parking area. The very big disadvantage of this Resort is that they have no car parking area. J.Gomes
